Plant the Seed: Exploring the Joy and Wonder of Children's Literature and Libraries, brought to the library by Eastern PA chapter of the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators (EPA SCBWI) Members and Local Artists.

A month-long art gallery showcase of Illustrations from Eastern PA SCBWI members. Artwork may not be sold directly at the event, but the artist’s name and contact information will be provided. Patrons can contact the artist if interested to arrange a sale.

Any size and medium of art is accepted. The artwork should be appropriate for all ages, framed, and ready to hang. Artwork should be delivered to the Gladwyne Free Library the week of August 19-26th during library hours.

There will be an opening cocktail party for this event. No books will be sold at the cocktail party but there is another opportunity to sell books during the Fall Family Fun Fest (10/22/22) at The Gladwyne Park where SCBWI is planning on setting up a table for the local author/illustrators to sell their books.

The show will run at the Gladwyne Library from September 1st through September 30th. The gallery is on display during the libraries hours of operations. The Reception will be on Thursday September 1st from 6-8pm.
