PENN WYNNE: An Evening with Mushrooms

PENN WYNNE: An Evening with Mushrooms

Join us as we explore the past, present, and future of the fascinating world of fungi! Kevin Popowich of the Philadelphia Mycology Club will discuss fungal anatomy, key identifying features, and the ecological significance of fungi. This presentation aims to inspire the community to reimagine their favorite greenspaces and hiking trails through the lens of mushrooms. We'll also discuss how to make quality mushroom observations during your future journeys.

The Philadelphia Mycology Club is a 100% volunteer run 501(c)(3) non-profit. The Club's mission is to study, collect, and document fungi; to foster accessibility, diversity, and inclusivity through educating the community on fungi; and to steward the land and advocate for fungal conservation. They host free programming year round and have no formal memberships or dues. All are welcome!
