PENN WYNNE: Good News for the Aging Brain
Lower Merion Village presents Good News for the Aging Brain
with: Dr. Carla Rodgers, M.D.
Join your neighbors for a presentation and discussion on insights into the aging brain. Although there is much negative information about what happens to the brain as we age, there is some good news as well that is often overlooked! How does normal brain aging work? How likely is it that at 65+ an individual will get dementia and how can that risk be minimized?
Carla Rodgers, M.D. completed her psychiatry residency at Jefferson University Hospital and is currently Clinical Professor in Psychiatry at Drexel Medical School. She was elected a Distinguished Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association in 2008, an award to outstanding psychiatrists who have made broad and significant contributions to the psychiatric profession and their communities. She is board certified in general, forensic, and geriatric psychiatry and also manages expert witness consulting. She has been in clinical practice for more than 40 years, currently in Bala Cynwyd.
