Ardmore - Partial Annular Solar Eclipse
Join the Ardmore Free Library staff on the front lawn at 11 am for pre-eclipse activities and 12:00-2:30 pm to view the Solar Eclipse. The viewing will be dependant on the weather, but.the activities will happen rain or shine! Safety Eclipse glasses will be provided to all participants.for the viewing of the eclipse.
Activities that are planned include: Displays and discussions of eclipses, an activity to demonstrate distances & sizes and how the moon "covers" the sun, demonstrations on "Shifting Shadows" using chalk and sidewalks, a craft to make a protective case for your viewing glasses, make your own sun clock, a craft demonstrating Ultra Violet rays using UV sensitive beads.
